WOTR
On tue, Tsang and myself played a game of WoTR. I played the baddies. The game started with the main activities happening for sauron vs gondor. All the forces in mordor moved west to Minas Tirith and gondor retreated back in. Unfortunately for me, Aragon also made it there and after a few rounds of fighting, I concluded that I could not take the city filled with the dwarf, elf and man, so I decided to leave it at a stale mate till the Southrons got their act together.
While the main action was going on down south, the forces in Dol Guldur somehow grew, so they poured out. Towards Lorien! Haha, if only the elves predicted their doom! Lorien was run over without difficulty. Also, Moria was growing stronger(stronger then the Mordor army no doubt), so Rivendale was the next easiest target, with the elves not even at war. So the forces of Dol Guldur combined with Moria and some from the north to move towards Rivendale.
It was after quite a while that both Isengard and Southrons got into a state of war. The Southrons tried a naval landing at Dol Amroth but due to their lack of luck, they did not take the town. Even more unfortunely, the witch king and 4 nazguls lost their lives(wait, they already lost that, so lost their souls?) there. Guess that would be the lowest point for the baddies.
Saruman on the other hand was having a ball of a time. Instead of usually dying from trees, he actually survived 2 attacks and managed to build up a considerable force, which was not deployed. The forces of Gondor with the support of Rohan eventually got too bold and pushed the remainding forces of sauron back to Minas Mogul. Haha, so the shadow forces were almost fortified in. Unknowingly, they would pay for their aggressiveness. Up north, Rivendale had fallen and the army moved west as Tom Bomberdale protected the east. The force reached to attack the Woodland Realm, which the elves wisely retreated away.
Gandalf the white must have gotten tired of waiting for Saruman to attack, so he initated it. A strong Rohan force moved towards Isengard. They forces Saruman to fortify up in his tower. But together with some units built in the north, they forced the rohan back to Helm's Deep, where depleted from their attack, they were wiped out. Haha, got rid of Gandalf!
The ring which was travelling slowly was finally in Mordor. Frodo had no corruption! Even the stupid spider could only deal 1 corruption. While wondering in Mordor, the final events were taking place outside. Isengard's army took an empty Edoras while the remenants of saurons forces just managed to reach Minas Tirith. Mouth of Sauron finally did not just talk cock, but managed to take the city. It was achieved on the last dice of my turn. If I had 1 die less, the ring would have most likely been destroyed as it was on the last step! A photo-finish. An interesting game no doubt where the shadow player felt sian but still won. haha.

Going on
Hmm, I remember we had this MSG who taught us urban warfare for the sea soldier course. He used to end his sentences with "this kind of thing going on". "Market and civilian kind of activity going on" or "support fire going on" or "explosion going on". It was quite stupid. So during that period I also used to say like "I am going to sleep going on" or "PT going on", etc. Haha, just something stupid from national slavery.
We stop for a commercial:
So, as expected, the group campfire going on on saturday went fine. I guess when you have ppl intending to attend an event to have fun, it is hard for them to not have some. It was more of a performances going on then actual singing and such. The malay magician guy was quite entertaining, despite the circular shape going on of the area we used.
We went to RK after that, and what a crap standard they had going on! For one thing, there was an entire new crew going on. Only Nesloooooo Beng was the familiar face going on. So I TRIED ordering Neslo Beng some one of the sin jiaos going on. That cock looked at me like I if I were speaking a different language going on. After I got him to pronounce the term correctly and explained that it was a mix of nescafe and milo going on, he signalled to the drink guy, also new, who seemed to know what was going on. He came back with what must be the Neslo Beng Kosong going on. It was quite bitter and well, tasted like crap, but I drank it cos I like bitter stuff also going on. Anyways, they also failed to entertain us. I mean you would expect Shamir's favourite waiter to repeat our orders in a way that you wish you could shoot him kind of things going on. He just said it like he was a normal person going on. After that the parking wardens came and chased us out going on. I think it is fair to say that we wont be going there going on. Yassins it will be going on!
Anyways, I will end this post so that Gabriel can see what Borat did when he visited Cambridge going on:~

won't tell you what this is... guess its actually a movie after all...
and then maybe i can draw your attention to the comments below...
"This movie was so bad it was awesome. Ed Wood would be proud. Plan 9 from outer space now has company on the bottom. The Attack of the killer tomatoes was a more plausible movie. Think of Chris Farley explaining to Lorne Michaels how cool it would be if there was like this giant earthquake and like everything fell but scientist couldn't understand it so they nuked it, Huh wouldn't it be cool. This movie would have been better written by SNL writers. The lines were so bad I kept expecting the actors to look at the camera and wait for a rim shot,'bah dump dump'. Henny Youngman and Norm Crosby couldn't have put together more bad puns and double entendres if they tried. The shocked look on every actors face wasn't the earthquake; it was the thought of how they paid an agent to book them on this train wreck. Like any true tragedy, it was hard to avert my eyes. My middle school child laughed at the bad lines and the poorly though out plot lines. Between laughs he would say, `Now wait a minute, that can't be right'. Too late my son, we too were devoured by the `Attack of the killer earthquake'. Now quick, everyone, evacuate the west coast HAR HAR HAR. "

Shamir and Aung! ; Aung and Shamir!
This post has nothing to do with the title, just to get ppl excited. Just goes to show that you cannot judge a blog post by its title.
Anyways, here is an interesting scene in Man VS Wild - Kenya~
The one in the Everglades did not have anything worth-while seeing, although he did kill a 2 foot turtle(censored) but while cooking it, you could see the blood on his shirt. He would have eaten a young alligator but said it was protected.
The Digital Times had a segment on the gaming industy in SG. Apperantly we are making quite a few games and its only going to increase. One game I am definately going to buy is Lone Wolf, based on the game-book, which I used to read like 12 yrs ago. The game should be out in Q3 2008, so will be looking forward to that(the author actually comes down to supervise the developers, so its not like they are running it on their own).

The Week Passed
For those who don't know, I have been jogging @ MacRitchie for around a month now, around twice weekly, mainly during the afternoon, 1 - 4pm. The main reason for doing so is just for a change in jogging location, instead of the area around my house. Also, I MacRitchie provides a more interesting place to run and a healthier(no CO2 and CO) alternative.
So on Tuesday, we supposedly had the same amount of rainfall that was recorded in last year August. And I went for a jog on Tuesday! Well, it was not flooded, but now I know how it feels like to run in a stream. The trails were flooded with running water. Fortunately, it was not really muddy, so I was just running over water. Another interesting sight I saw on tuesday was the monkeys that used a lamp post the same way as a fireman uses their pole thingy during an emergency. They did it all very quickly and was quite an amusing. Their emergency was to raid a pick-up parked nearby.
On Thursday, when returning from reaching the end of the trail, the underneath rubber of my shoe gave way, Cheap new balance. It was only the 4th time using it. So, since I wanted to salvage it as it was so new, I took both the shoes off and walked back barefooted. I walked mostly on the broadwalk, to avoid the stones in the trail. All I can say is that wood is quite a good conductor of heat. ;)
On Friday, the scouts had patrol camp. As usual with the present batch of patrols, it was full of poor planning. It was held at Sembawang Park. I guess on the whole nothing worth-while happened for me as I was not directly involved in any part of the program. Just slacked around and enjoyed the atmosphere.
