Hello!
Was at the school for these 2 camps from 22 to 24th Feb. They went alright, together with investiture.
22nd Feb ~ Its Founder's Day, 101 Years...
Nothing much happened on 22nd. Skills camp ppl came late, so they cooked their meals till late. After that they setup their campsite and that was more or less it.
23rd Feb
In the morning, we had the investiture ceremony, due to the lack of senior people around, got arrowed to be the one giving the commands. Did not really bother me, but rather be slacking somewhere or something, haha.
Then after that was the group-level games. That went alright. I ran my checkpoint of tracking, in which one team had to follow a route set by the 1st team. I went off for my class half-way through the game.
When I came back, the recruits (11 of them) were doing cooking while the sec 2s were being taken tests. After that the sec 2s started their outdoor cooking. They took quite long to complete that, thereby extending the start of the campfire. Had to scold the ICs running both camps for being too relak-jack about the inefficiency.
Was talking cock to Kenneth and Aung during the CF, did not really pay attention to what they were doing. After the CF, the skill camps people had a hike. It went alright, with some of them unable to read the checkpoints given. One group called to say their checkpoint was in the middle of the sea. They obviously did not know what they were doing.
On the last day was just clearing and cleaning up, nothing else. Think the camps were average, guess thats the problem with camping in school, too many people around...
Saw this package in the den, white powder in a plastic bag with the wording, "Use Wisely". Guess the scouts were wasting the powder and did not know the street value of it.
